Preah Vihear, March 4-5, 2025 – A transformative Leadership Development Training was successfully conducted at the Chey Saen District Education Office in S’ang Village, S’ang Commune, Chhey Saen District, Preah Vihear Province. This two-day event, organized to equip young leaders with essential leadership skills, saw enthusiastic participation from CIDG youth, village leaders, saving group members, and veterinarians.

The training aimed to inspire, equip, and strengthen emerging leaders by providing them with the necessary tools to enhance their leadership potential and expand their influence within their communities. The primary objectives included fostering leadership character, defining core leadership values, understanding personality traits in leadership, building trust, improving team productivity, and enhancing overall team effectiveness.

Throughout the two-day program, participants engaged in interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises designed to build their leadership competencies. The first day covered fundamental aspects of leadership, including self-awareness, leadership characteristics, and strategies for effective team management.

On the second day, the training delved into more advanced topics such as leadership communication, problem-solving, and the DISC personality framework, which helps leaders understand different personality types and how to effectively work with diverse groups. Group discussions and hands-on activities enabled participants to analyze leadership challenges and develop solutions tailored to their community’s needs.

Participants expressed their enthusiasm and gratitude for the leadership training, highlighting the valuable lessons they gained and their commitment to applying them within their communities.

One participant shared, "I truly enjoyed being part of this training. I have learned so much about leadership, and I am eager to apply these lessons to benefit my community."

A youth participant reflected, "Before attending this training, I had no knowledge of leadership concepts. Now, I understand what it means to be a leader, and I will implement these skills within my youth group."

The CIDG team leader stated, "These two days of training have been eye-opening. I have gained a deeper understanding of leadership, including the DISC personality framework and the foundations of effective leadership. I am excited to use this knowledge to further develop my team."
